Eyewet Plus (Eye Drop)

COMPOSITION

Each ml contains
Polyvinyl Alcohol U.S.P. …… 1.4%
Povidone U.S.P. ……………… 0.6%
with: Chlorobutanol 5.0mg, sodium chloride, sodium citrate and purified water.

DESCRIPTION

Polyvinyl alcohol is a synthetic resin, represented by the formula (-CH2-CHOH-)n, where the average value of ‘n’ is 500 to 5000. Polyvinyl alcohol is a nonionic surfactant that is used as eye lubricant.
Povidone is a synthetic polymer consisting essentially of linear 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidinone groups.

INDICATIONS

Eywet Plus is indicated for the temporary relief of burning irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or due to exposure to wind or sun. Also may be used as a protectant against further irritation. Eywet Plus relieves dryness & irritation and provides soothing, refreshing and cooling effect. Supplements aqueous, lipid or mucin deficiencies.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

It is contraindicated to those individuals who are hypersensitive to any of its constituents.

WARNINGS

To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the container to any surface. Replace cap after using. If you experience any pain, changes in vision, continued redness and irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours, discontinue use and consult your ophthalmologist. If the solution changes colour or becomes cloudy, do not use. Remove contact lenses before using the medication.

DOSAGE

One to two drops into the conjunctival sac(s) as needed or as directed by the ophthalmologist.

HOW SUPPLIED

Eywet Plus Eye Drops is available as a sterile solution in 10 ml pilfer proof plastic dropper bottles (Gamma Irradiated).
